I think that you would very much like it and enjoy it. Not only will you be able to do what you have recently learned that you loved, but you will make friends along the way and continue to bring that 49 sec down to a 45, then a 39 and so on as the coach(es) work with you and give you feed back. I joined masters right after high school and it was a really great experience and Im 24 now and it still is great experience every time. I would say join the masters team and on the off chance that you don't like, then at least you tried it. Best wishes. ~Christopher

Thank you for the welcomes and support! I think I will do it! :bliss: @no200fly: I'm actually in Austin for college, so I'd be swimming with Longhorn Aquatics. Just out of curiosity, are you currently in Houston? If so, which team do you swim for? Fantastic program, from everything I've seen/heard. Should be quite a few people your age or close to it also.

No, I'm in Dallas. The longhorn group is great too. I have some old friends from college who swim there. My middle daughter just started at UT and I have swum with them a few times when I was in Austin.

You will enjoy masters. We have a number of younger swimmers that swim with our team and they never seem out of place. There are several teams in the Houston area so there should be something fairly close to you.

Welcome!! I think you'd LOVE Masters! I didn't start competing until I was 39, so you're starting mighty young to me!!:)
