Has anyone tried TRX training? If you have, do you think it helps your swimming?

Thanks.

This year I set personal bests in all LC freestyle events except the 50 and came very close in that. I started swimming masters 7years ago, at age 59. I do exercises that replicate my strokes in some way, and do them for the duration of 50's and 100's. I think that TRX strengthens the core. Many exercises place an unstable load on the shoulders, so I wouldn't recommend to folks with shoulder problems. I alternate TRX with weight training sessions. For me, I believe this approach has made a difference in my swimming outcomes this year.

RE: TRX training

I have just bought it. I expect that it will most definitely help my swimming, as I subscribe to the theory that (most) anything that makes you stronger will make you (fitter and) faster. I have done P90X with some regularity over the past 15 months, and it has definitely helped. If you would like a novice user's TRX training journal over the next few months, let me know.
