Just one possible concern: will that ceiling present a challenge to backstrokers?

It was in Leeds this year, Cardiff before that and Manchester the year before. Before that... ...I wasn't a masters swimmer! Last I heard they were doing 1 yr England, 1 yr Scotland 1 yr Wales, but that was at least 4 years ago, so maybe its all changed, particularly now they've built more 50m pools! And they somehow got out of sync and so did Glasgow 2 years in a row (which was just too far away). Not really surprising I only actually made it to GBs 1 year out of about 8, by which time I was 6 weeks pregnant! Oh well, whinge over - its just fab that there's now a super new pool in London so you don't need to swim at scummy Crystal Palace for LC anymore :)

Now there's an idea - although I'd sign up with my old club (sorry!). Didn't they hold it in Leeds this year (or did I dream that?) so really it would be Tollcross or Swansea's turn? But I guess they can make an exception! Hmmm, perhaps I should think about evicting my tenant and rent rooms out to forumites for a suitable fee...... I've heard (unconfirmed) that the British Masters LC will be there in June. Might hear more in 6 weeks at the short course champs. Anyone that fancies it - should you need to be registered over here - can swim for my club!By all means, keep us updated. I'd skip Omaha if I could swing a swim in the Olympic pool (timewise, money-wise, wife/family-wise!).

WOW! I think they've outdone the inside of the Water Cube with this design. I still think the Cube's exterior is cooler than the outside of this complex, though. Someone on that site made a comment that it looks like an ancient Greek subterranean bath. I have to agree. This looks like a place where the deific Olympians would compete. :)

Great design! We'll have to see how it performs. When will they be having a shakedown top-level meet?
