You could also try Spencer Swim Team which is one of the largest masters swim teams in the UK - and swim every day bar Friday ... If your friend happens to be out in the western suburbs, check out the Reading Masters (www.readingswimclub.org/masters). The pools are crummy, but the people are fabulous. I've swum with them a few times. Great crew.

A couple of years ago I posted a similar thread: www.usms.org/.../showthread.php Someone in that thread recommended the Otter Masters group. I swam with them then, and twice more when I've been in London. The last time was last Aug-Sep, and the coach remembered me. The facilities are ok, but they don't charge for visiting swimmers. Shoot me a PM if you need more info.
