Does anyone know the usual publication schedule for World Aquatics Top Ten? I know 2024 was very delayed and come out quite late in the year last year, but when is the normal publication?

I am attending Springs Nationals in Greensboro. May 1st Nationals. I am coming more for the social then the competition, swimming only 2 events.

I grew up in Statesville, NC, swam for the team there and competed at NC states meets with the old Western Carolina Swim Associations (Statesville, Hickory, Shelby, Salisbury, Gastonia and Morganton). Then swam at UCLA with stints at Foxcatcher in Philly and Mission Viejo in the summer. I will be attending the Friday night social event and hoping to reach out and connect with old friends.

The 1000 and 1650 will be swum by time with men and women separate. The 500 free and 400 IM will be swum by age group, men and women separate. All individual events 200 and under will be preseeded.

Reference rule 104.5.6, Club Scoring, B: Categories

Below is the list of regional clubs for 2026. This list was compiled based on 2025 and prior records, current 2026 LMSC registrations, and correspondence with LMSC officers.

Any club wishing to inquire about their designation has 45 days prior to the event to make the inquiry. This equates to March 16 for Spring Nationals and June 21 for Summer Nationals.

Regional vs Local Club Categories - 2025

National Championship meets scoring: Regional versus Local Club Categories

Beginning in 2009, club scoring awards at Nationals have been divided into two separate categories: Regional and Local.

A formal description of the two club categories is below (104.5.6 B from page 37 & 38 of the 2025 USMS Rule Book):

(1) Regional clubs—For competition at national championship meets, a regional club consists of a club made up of those swimmers who represent a club at nationals, but at competitions within their LMSC, they compete for an entity or subgroup (such as a workout group) that is different than the one they compete with at nationals.

(2) Local clubs—For competition at national championship meets, a local club consists of a club that does not qualify as a regional club.

Based on the above definitions, the following scoring categories will be in place for 2025 Spring and Summer Nationals:

Please note: clubs may contest their designation or the designation of another club by filing an appeal with the chair of the Championship Committee (Erin Sizelove, championship@usms.org) at least 45 days prior to the national championship meet (i.e., March 10 for San Antonio; June 22 for Federal Way).

The meet information page for the 1 Hour Swim championship has two different dates in different sections for when we should expect the prelim results - today, February 7 or February 11. Does anyone know which date we should be seeing the first cut of the results?

I swam in a meet last August and was planning on using my times in 3 events to qualify for this year's summer USMS nationals. Now I see that my times are listed in red. I understand these times can't be used for top ten listings, but will I be able to use them as national qualifying times. If not, how do I choose meets in the future to know for sure at registration that times swam at the meet will be counted toward national qualifying times?
