I hope your health stays with you for a while longer this year. Worlds --- I have never even looked at times. I might just have to just to get an idea of those really fast folks. Thanks, Orca. Agreed - I'm just going thru old posts & trying to catch up. I miss any type of swimming, even the ones that have taken place. I envy you in recovering & making Q times for 6 events, only to have them cancel the 6th for you. Oh well; I had a blast at 2013 LC Nationals anyway! Fortunately, I qualify to swim the maximum events at 2014 Worlds, because my times are currently too far off to make any NQT's for 2014 Summer Nationals. At the rate I'm going, I will probably have to wait until I age up again to have any chance at making NQT's again! However, the degenerative physical problems I am dealing with might prove that impossible as well. Still, just going to Nats. after Worlds is going to be a blast! :bliss:

"Real-Time results" and Meet Mobile are now available for Summer Nationals. Heat Sheets are now available for the 50s and 100s: www.usms.org/.../ The estimated timeline is now available: www.usms.org/.../timeline.pdf With many events being deck seeded, this timeline is based on historical scratch data. Therefore it is only to be used as a general guide. Swimmers may follow the live video streaming, Real Time results and/or Meet Mobile to keep track of the actual running of the meet (edit: or of course be there at the pool watching and cheering! My original comment was meant to address the 1500 session for those who want to better predict when they might be swimming). The final entry count is 1393 swimmers. Thank you to Barry Fasbender and Jim Matysek for working on the seeding, heat sheets and timeline. Jeff

Take the shuttle from your hotel to the meet and tell the driver you need to pick up your shuttle pass at the aquatic center. When you register you will be able to purchase a shuttle pass. Thanks

Attached is a layout of the Aquatic Center. Have your sister drop your mother off just past the shuttle stop. From Marguerite Parkway, turn onto Casta Del Sol then right into the parking lot then right to the end of the loop. Have her wait at a designated place and go park your car somewhere on a street. Then our sister can walk back and meet your mother. Thanks, Barryf!

Another parking question: My 85 year old mom and sister want to come see me swim. They will be driving in from Long Beach, so where should I tell them to park? Although my mom is not disabled, I would like to spare her a long walk. Is it even feasible to have spectators? Attached is a layout of the Aquatic Center. Maybe someone can help with this. I understand parking will be awful, and that the sensible course is to park at a hotel and ride the shuttle. For that reason, I bought the shuttle pass when I registered. So, here's my question: if I get my shuttle pass when I sign in at the pool, how do I ride the shuttle to the pool on my first day? I have to imagine the shuttle drivers will be reasonable people and would understand your situation when you explain it to them on the first day.

Due to the all-time record number of entries and expected long days, the Championship Committee has decided to drop the sixth event. Swimmers who entered six events will be scratched from their sixth event. Jeff Roddin USMS Championship Committee Chair championship@usms.org Ok, go ahead and say it everybody: "Elaine-iaK, you are an IDIOT!" :doh: Yes, I'm the idiot who selected the 1500 as my 6th event, because I really want to swim the 400 IM and 200 fly (even though I will look like this in the fly: :cane: )! So, that means I paid for an extra night at the hotel and I can't even race the next day. And, changing our flights would cost even more. Oh well; it gives me one more day to get over jet lag. Message to Bill Sive: Thank you, but I won't need your counting assistance after all. :chug: Edit: Ok, now I'm going to whiiiiiine! I finally make NQT's in my three breaststroke events to qualify for six events, but I only get to swim 5. :censor:
