I know there was a meet I swam two years ago and they updated online who has registered and for what team. This is a national championship, and I guarantee that people would be setting their entries based on what other people are swimming or who else is entered. They'd do this in order to personally place higher in events or to increase team scores. We don't want to encourage that.

Any reason to not post simply names of people who have entered? I follow this policy for our NE SCY meet. I only post names and number of events entered. Specific event listings and psych sheets don't get posted until after the deadline. Way too many people seeding themselves with specific times trying to get seeded into the top-8, if we posted early psych sheets.

I've found that posting rosters while entries are open can help boost numbers. People see that their friends are going, and gives them more reason to go, too.
