Some of my teammates and I were a little askew as to the eligibility of attending the YMCA national meet.

What does one have to do/be to qualify for Nationals?

Thanks for helping clear this up!

The way the rules are for YMCA's is that the only qualifier is that you must be a member with full prevliages for 90 days prior to the competition. That is how one qualifies.

Unlike USMS which does have NQT's if you choose to swim more than 3 events at Nationals.

Hope to see a strong showing from the Pittsburgh area in Indy.

RE: Question, YMCA Nationals

So, in theory, a person could miss the regional/district meet in on April 9th/10th (here in PA, anyway) and still be qualified to go to Nationals?

There's a guy on our team who wants to swim Nationals, but is already registered for the Powerman Duathlon in Alabama on April 10th. That's what the question's for.

This helps a lot, thanks!

Hope this helps.
