Sorry, I may have tried, but I've already used my extra $$$ to get down to Phoenix for the East Valley SCM meet... Sunday is the day to go if you're a true distance freak! 800 Free, 200 Free, 400 IM, & 400 Free - all in one session!!! The only fun event available on Saturday is the 200 Fly. The 1500 Free is also on Saturday, but that is not considered "fun". :)

Yeh Phoenix vs Rochester...it's not even close, lol. Enjoy Phx! I can't make the meet here anyways. And let's face it, if you can't gridge with me, what's the point! I'd have to gridge my 100 splits vs. your 200 splits, just to be anywhere close to you!! You could probably go without practice from now till December, and still be able to outswim me in most events I bet! Wanna test that theory??? :D

How far is Rochester from Albany?

it is about a 4 hour drive on the NY Thruway. That is a long drive on the Thruway. You would think that it took 4 hours to get from Albany to Buffalo. If you're going the speed limit, maybe ;) 3.5 easy!

I might have to look into attending this one since it does have an 800. SCM meets are scarce throughout the Northeast, period! And in the fall. Yep! I was glad our LMSC secretary was able to talk them into it. We don't have too many SCM meets up in these parts, so it was good to get this on the board. Here's the skinny: Nazareth College Pool - 25m competition pool with 6 lanes and an Automatic Colorado Timing System. Address is: 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618 Sunday, October 9th, 2011 - 9am Warm-up/ 10am START Sanctioned by Niagara District Masters Swimming, Inc. for USMS, Inc. Sanction # ND11-05 Meet entry form: www.niagaramasters.org/.../20111009-naz.pdf I might have to look into attending this one since it does have an 800.
