The cut times are fairly fast,

RE: Cactus Classic is USMS sanctioned

I didn't know that they had 50s of the strokes this year until Friday, so I put my entry in only for the 50 ***, which will take place on Memorial Day. I'll be just starting my taper for the Southwest Invite in Tucson 12 days later, so this will be just a "see how it goes" swim.

My prediction is that Jeff will scorch the pool with his 50M *** and leave a bunch of kids walking around wondering what they just witnessed.

That's "hot it goes" when Jeff is in the water for sprint events.

Actually, Jeff cranked out a fast 200 Free this spring at ASU so maybe a repeat performance is in order ;-)

RE: Cactus Classic is USMS sanctioned

Patrick W. Cool. I wish I could make it down for the Southwest Invite, but can't ... maybe next year.

RE: Cactus Classic is USMS sanctioned

I didn't know that they had 50s of the strokes this year until Friday, so I put my entry in only for the 50 ***, which will take place on Memorial Day. Brundage

OK: entries are due in about a week for this wonderful event: www.teamunify.com/.../30809_2009 Cacts Classic Meet Flyer.pdf. It's a great facility and great way to kick off your LCM season. Plus, every time you dive in for a race, part of your entry fee is being funneled to the non-profit foundation set up to save ASU Men's swimming.

I dropped my entries in the mail today, Tall Paul is already in and rumor has it that Dennis Baker will school the young kids for yet another year.

RE: Cactus Classic is USMS sanctioned

Patrick W. Paul, I'm definitely going to swim the meet. Which days I swim will be dependent upon the events for me and events for my daughter. If we can compete as Arizona Masters, I'm game for an 800 free relay.

Kurt: you in?

We just need a fourth ... time to start calling down to Tucson to get some guys to come up.

Now, what would be really fun is if Ande brought a gang from Longhorn to race.

RE: Cactus Classic is USMS sanctioned

I'm in!
