The program can be heard in the Boston area on public

RE: NPR Radio Coverage of NE Masters

I was out of town during both the broadcasts!! However, you can hear it if you visit their website. Go to:
http://www.onlyagame.org/

You'll see that they have a feature on Henry Southall (the piece is listed under features). This was broadcast on Friday morning.

The Saturday program here in Boston featured stories on Tracy Grili (long-time NEM member and USMS Executive Secretary) and Jim Edwards (even longer-time NEM) who returned somewhat jet-lagged a bedecked with gold medals from Worlds to swim in our meet.

By the way, the NE meet drew 670 people. The Colonies Zone meet has 420 people and I hear that Pacific Masters meet may not draw much more than 700. So we are living up to our reputation for putting on the largest regional championshihp meet east of California.

RE: NPR Radio Coverage of NE Masters

NPR BROADCAST TIME CORRECTION

THE FIRST "ONLY THE GAME" BROADCAST IN THE BOSTON AREA IS FROM 7:00 AM TO 8:00 AM NOT 8:00 AM TO 9:00 AM.

I'm sure we can find some human interest angle to get him to cover the World in Italy.

RE: NPR Radio Coverage of NE Masters

HAH! I KNEW we could get on "Only a Game" if we tried! Maybe we can convince Mr. Littlefield that he really needs to do a follow-up story at 2004 Worlds in Italy. (And if we can't convince him Italy is a good excuse, er... appropriate opportunity for further coverage, we should be concerned.)
